The German Shepherd Dog (GSD, also known as an Alsatian), (German: Deutscher Schäferhund) is a breed of large-sized dog that originated in Germany. German Shepherds are a relatively new breed of dog, whose origins date to 1899. As part of the Herding group, the German Shepherd is a working dog developed originally for herding sheep. Because of their strength, intelligence and abilities in obedience training they are often employed in police and military roles, in forces around the world. I got a German Shepard mixed with a husky so its white with a silver line across its back with a golden tan head. She doesn’t have floppy ears, her ears are sticking up as she was adult. Shes 3 months old.

@TurkishlyDelightful Rotweilers are bigger, Huskys are dumber and GSD are the smartest, a rotweiler would have more stopping power, you should probably get a GSD or a Rotty because there smart dogs and since they were originally breed for herding they usally dont have high prey drives

@TurkishlyDelightful huskies are good dogs but they love to run they just have a natural instinct for it, they are also smart & will look for escape routes. rottweilers are great dogs my friend has one but are very protective of their owners & home so tell friends & family members to be cautious. german shepherds are mostly the same but less aggressive than a rottweiler would be to strangers. But remember they can all be trained to be your perfect dog it all depends on you
